The Carson JV boys basketball team dropped a 46-40 decision to Spanish Springs at the State Farm Holiday Classic on Wednesday. Leading Carson was Robby Miller with 17 points, including 12 points on 3-pointers. Asa Carter chipped in 10 points. Carson is now 5-5. The Senators play at 6:30 p.m. today. JV GIRLSCarson 37, Spanish Springs 27 Carson was able to hold of Spanish Springs en route to an 11-point victory at the at the State Farm Holiday Classic on Wednesday. The JV girls team won 37-27. Spanish Springs scored 11 points in the fourth quarter to close the gap.Carson’s full-court pressure was too much for the Cougars. Michelle Perry led the team with eight points. Alyssa Ridley, Abbey Dudley and Teresa Boehmer added six points, six points and five points respectively. Carson plays at 7:45 p.m. today against Damonte.FRESHMENCarson 46, Spanish Springs 16Serena Miller, Melissa Glanzman and Bailey Allen all were in double figures to lead the Carson freshmen girls team to an easy 46-16 win over Spanish Springs at the State Farm Holiday Classic on Wednesday. Miller scored 11 points and had 10 steals to go with six rebounds. Glanzman added 11 points, six steals and four rebounds. Allen had 10 points, eight steals, six rebounds and five assists. Andrea Maffei and Taylor Weddell each added seven steals. The Senators play Damonte at 3:45 p.m. today.
