Carson Performing Arts will be presenting the contemporary play "Hiroshima: Crucible of Light" by Robert Lawson.

A montage of scenes and monologues along with multi-media visuals examines events and personalities involved with the creation of nuclear fission and the resulting chaos of the bomb.

Production dates are 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Jan. 20, 21; 2 p.m. Sundays, Jan. 15 and 22. The show is presented in one viewing with no intermission at approximately 80 minutes and is recommended for more mature viewers due to the abstract concept.

The show will take place at the Carson Community Center. Tickets are available at the door. Cost is $5 for CHS staff and student body and performing arts students; $7 for students/senior citizens; and $8 general admission.
