Phyllis L. Thomas, 93, passed away Friday, February 24, 2012 at home after a brief illness. She was born August 2, 1918 in Toledo, Ohio to Roy Grammer and Minnie Tudor. She moved to California in 1939 and worked for F.E. Olds & Sons until her retirement. She moved to Kirksey, Kentucky, in 1993. On the death of her husband, Jack Thomas, in 1997, she moved to Carson City to be near her daughter Judy Mumford, and son-in-law, Ray. She was an active member of Johnson Lane Baptist Church. She enjoyed traveling with her late husband. Together they traveled extensively throughout the United States. In her later years, when travel was not as easy, she was an avid reader and enjoyed cross word puzzles.

She is survived by daughter, Judy Mumford (Ray), of Carson City, NV; sons, Gary Hall (Linda), Fallbrook, CA, and Davd Hall (Catharine), Encinicas, CA; brother, Bill Grammer; sisters, Millie Daughtry, Gerry Bryan and Donna Schmied; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
