Q: What are your favorite sports and why?

A: Soccer mainly. It's my life; well, more than that; I just can't live without it. Watching football with my family is also really fun. It gets crazy.

Q: Who is your favorite professional athlete and why?

A: I'd have to say Mia Hamm and Muhammad Ali. Even though they are retired they were both so inspiring and they are all-around unique athletes. Both spread the message of greatness and finding that is what I'm all about.

Q: How do you feel about drug/alcohol testing at the high school level? Should it be random or should everybody on a team be tested at least once during the season?

A: I feel the school has every right to do random tests. If your athletic career is important to you, you shouldn't do anything to jeopardize it.

Q: If you saw a teammate using drugs or alcohol, what would you do? Would you talk to him about it or turn him in to the coach?

A: I would go to the player first. It wouldn't be my place to do that as a teammate. I would have a long talk about it with them and try to get them to stop. If it got out of hand I would definitely talk to an adult, not to get the teammate in trouble, but to help them.

Q: The Olympics just ended. How much of the coverage did you watch and what sport did you enjoy watching the most and why?

A: I never left the Olympics when the Olympics were on. I enjoyed soccer the most. I lost my voice from all the shouting. When soccer wasn't on, I would watch gymnastics, beach volleyball, and I found all the other weird things like ping pong and shuffleboard funny.

Q: Do you have any hobbies, and if so, what are they?

A: Other than soccer, I'm a shopaholic. I also really love to cook.

Q: Do you have a favorite TV show?

A: I have a few. I would have to say that "Hawaii Five-0," "Saturday Night Live" and "Criminal Minds" are my favorites.

Q: What is your favorite food?

A: Sushi.

Q: What is the last non-academic you read?

A: "Hunger Games."

Q: If you could change one thing about your high school, what would it be?

A: Probably the level of entertainment in the classroom. I want it to be fun and exciting, not quiet and boring.

Q: What sport isn't offered at the high school level that you think should be?

A: Water polo. It's intense.

Q: After graduation, where do you plan to attend college and what are you looking at in terms of a major?

A: I'm looking into ASU and San Diego. I have a list of colleges, though. I would like to take soccer as far as I can, hopefully professional. I plan to get my degree in business and psychology then go into the fashion business
