A Stagecoach man who sold undercover detectives stolen guns and explosives in exchange for methamphetamines has been sentenced to 16 years in federal prison.
Michael Alan Doiel, 44, pleaded guilty to possession of 50 grams of the drug with intent to distribute along with possession of stolen explosives. He also was charged with selling a stolen police officer’s badge in the exchange.
Undercover officers bought two semi-automatic rifles and two handguns from Doiel along with a package of C4 explosives and the badge — all stolen — in December 2011. They price was three ounces of methamphetamine and $1,500 cash.
The U.S. Attorney’s office says Doiel has three prior felony convictions including possession of a controlled substance.
