At Relay For Life events, communities across the globe come together to honor cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost and fight back against the disease.

Fallon is home to 17 Relay for Life teams, all working together to raise money for one common purpose — killing cancer.

Lacey Lehman is the director of Relay for Life in Fallon and has participated in Fallon Kaia F.I.T. She reached out to owner Andrea Schell to create a Relay for Life team.

“I think it is important as a business owner to give back to our community. This was a great way to get all of our Kaia girls involved. Cancer has affected each and every one of us in some way or another.” said Schell.

The final Relay for Life fundraising event will be held on June 22 at the Churchill County Middle School in Fallon. Relay teams will raise money, camp out overnight and take turns walking or running around the track. Because cancer never sleeps, Lehman each team will have at least one participant on the track at all times.
