Carson City man in critical condition after being hit while walking in Stateline

A 31-year-old Carson City man is in critical condition after he was struck by at least one vehicle early Saturday in Stateline.

The man was walking along the eastbound lanes of U.S. Highway 50 just east of MontBleu Resort when he was struck about 3 a.m., according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.

A witness who spotted the man and turned around to render aid told troopers he saw a blue Dodge pickup hit the man while he was lying in one of the eastbound lanes.

The man was taken by ambulance to Barton Memorial Hospital before being flown by helicopter to Renown hospital. Troopers aren’t identifying him pending notification of his family.
