The public is invited to the fourth annual New York New Year’s Eve Party, hosted by The Friends of the Carson City Library and the Carson City Library Foundation. The event, which helps raise funds for the Carson City Library, will be from 6 to 10 p.m. in the Carson Nugget ballroom.
Tickets cost $50 each, or $375 for a table for eight, and include a buffet dinner, a no-host bar, dancing and live and silent auctions. Also planned are a balloon drop, live streaming of the Times Square ball drop and a champagne toast at 9 p.m.
Tickets can be purchased at www.nevadasworkingcapital.com/ccFoundation.html, by cash or check at the Browsers Corner in the Carson City Library, or at The Purple Avocado gift shop on North Curry Street.
