Don’t let word ‘God’ be scrubbed from culture

There is a real threat to limit and eventually do away with all expression of free speech by a group who disguises its intent and motive by masquerading as civil rights advocates. Their plan is first to do away with any mention of God at PTA and school board meetings, then at any and all public meetings and events.

American history is full of leaders who felt it necessary to invoke God’s guidance when America was in peril. Washington, Lincoln, Roosevelt and President Kennedy expressed a need for God’s guidance. Dr. Martin Luther King was an outstanding leader for free speech. It awakened the conscience of Americans to treat all men as equal. Lest we forget President Ronald Regan’s words “that if we ever forget we are one nation under God, then we will be a nation gone under.”

Now is the time for all people of good will to stand up for free speech, to become outspoken in expressing their views at PTA, school board meetings, and all events and gatherings where the name of God is forbidden. Contact your congressional representative to express the importance of free speech. Run for office, local and federal. Court decisions that are unfavorable to free speech, seek appeals. Support lawyers in arguing free speech for us.

Freedom of speech are not just words, they are everything that gives life meaning and purpose. Don’t be the generation to lose it.

Sadly, it’s too late now to elect Romney

President Obama’s poll numbers have plummeted as a result of the disastrous rollout of Obamacare and his untruthful representation that people would be able to keep their health insurance plans. A Washington Post/ABC survey found that if the 2012 presidential election were held now, Mitt Romney would beat Obama 49 percent to 45 percent among registered voters — and for good reason.

Romney was right in his campaign prediction that if Obamacare became fully implemented, millions of policyholders would lose their health insurance — that happened last month. The GOP candidate’s declaration that Russia was the “No. 1 geopolitical foe” to the U.S. was roundly criticized in 2012 but validated in Obama’s bumbling actions in Syria where Vladimir Putin enhanced Russian global influence while U.S. allies Israel and Saudi Arabia fret about American retreat.

Romney predicted that the president’s unwillingness to work with Congress would lead to government gridlock. We witnessed a government shutdown in September caused in part by Obama’s refusal to budge and his subsequent lobbying that detonated the Senate “nuclear option” which will lead to increased partisan division. Belatedly, Americans now recognize that President Obama is not a competent executive manager while Mitt Romney’s proven skills — in both the public and private sectors — are those required in a president.

Obamacare’s future is even more bleak

Obama’s promise that “if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor” and “if you like your health care plan, you can keep your health care plan” was a premeditated lie. He knew it intended to separate patient from doctor and cause the cancellation of millions of plans. The installation of the ACA amounts to eminent domain over the private sector and transfers controlling interest over to the government. The only unplanned occurrence was the collapse of the machinery upon ignition.

Obamacare is preamble to the “single payer” system that will lock the doctor into compulsory servitude. When government becomes the single payer of society’s medical bills, it becomes the single employer and source of a doctor’s income. This means every doctor is subject to non-negotiable authority. The single payer system will deliver the practice of medicine to where the British are.

The “free” health care system of Britain is a catastrophic failure. “Hundreds of patients died unnecessarily” from 2005-2009 in the Stafford Hospital. Jeremy Hunt, Britain’s counterpart to secretary of health and human services, said the government is passing liabilities that will effect a “profound transformation” in the medical profession. Hunt hasn’t wondered if existing laws of the single payer system may have any connection to the unnecessary deaths.

The millions who lost their doctors, health care plan and trust in Obama and big government are willing to give the Republican’s arguments for “limited government” a listening. We can reverse the political madness of the last five years, come 2014 and 2016.

No apologies here for true Christianity

Regarding Bruce Henderson’s article on Nov. 23, you don’t speak for me. I apologize for nothing concerning true Christianity. Gal. 1:10, “For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.” Are you apologizing to become popular with the world? That brand of love isn’t love at all, and the Jesus of the 1611 King James Bible would never compromise the truth to be liked by the world.

These young 16 to 29-year-olds are probably or have most likely sat or is sitting now under hirelings like Rick Warren, Rob Bell, Beth Moore, Mark Batterson, etc., and want to be coddled in their chosen sin, and when they meet a real Christian, one that’s not afraid to call sin sin, they can’t handle the truth about their lost condition, so they call true Christians names instead of facing the truth about themselves.

You’re wrong, Mr. Henderson. True Christians speak God’s truth. It’s the truth that condemns the guilty and awakens their dead conscience. They are the ones (like yourself) who are out of touch with reality. Well, if you truly want to be like Jesus as you said, then get ready to be hated. John 15:18, “If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.” Verse 19, “If ye were of the world, the world would love his own.”

So, you want to be like Jesus? Preach his word from the 1611 King James Bible. I don’t believe you really want to be like the real Jesus Christ! Prove me wrong, and the bible you preach from does matter!
