Gymnasts perform well in Reno

The Silver State Gymnastics Academy’s girls competitive team competed at the Eyeopener Meet in Reno this past weekend.

The former level two team competed for the first time in the level three division.

In the 6- and 7-year-old division, Sara Mitchell placed second on vault, third on bars, beam, and floor to win the bronze medal in the all-around.

In the 8-year-old division, Bella Planeta took home the gold medal on bars.

In the 9-year-old division, Elianna Hollar earned a third-place medal on bars, beam and floor.

At level four, in the 7-8 division, Elle Liebendorfer won first place on vault, bars, floor, and a second on beam to win the first place all-around medal.

In the 9-10 division, Alycia Hellwinkel placed second on bars and beam to capture the silver medal for the all around. Emma Habaradas took the bronze medal on vault.

In the senior division, Brenna Mitchell won second place on bars and beam to claim the bronze all around medal. Madison Adams won silver in the vault.

The squad took second place.

Lily Reid competed for the first time in the optional level six. She placed second on vault, and took home the gold medal for bars, beam, floor, and the all around.
