Juliann Contri (Juls, Mama, Mutti), a beloved sister, friend, colleague, grandma, and mother passed away on November 15th in her home in Minden. She had been a Minden resident for 20 years. Prior to moving to Minden, she lived at the Lake Tahoe for 46 years. She is preceded in death by her father Bill Bechdolt, mother Bernie Bechdolt, and her first husband Ron Partelow. Her survivors include her 4 children, Eric Partelow, David Partelow, Aaron Partelow, Rosalie Contri; 2 daughters-in-law, Sherri and Julia; and 2 grandchildren Mariano, and Austin. In addition to her immediate family, Juliann is survived by her 3 sisters, 3 brothers, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She loved traveling, lying on the beach, spending time with her grandchildren, but most important she loved helping people. She enjoyed helping people through the generosity of a warm ear, and useful guidance. She was a woman of many great qualities. She first started working for her father at the Tahoe Inn in Tahoe City, CA. From there she became a bookkeeper, and started her own business. Once she moved to the Carson Valley, she became an accountant. After seeking new opportunities, she then got a job at The Tahoe City Marina where she worked for 12 years. She would make the commute every day to Tahoe City. When asked what her favorite part of her day was, she would always say, “The view of Jobs Peak when I come down into the valley. The 3-hour round trip is well worth the sight of the mountains!” She will be greatly missed, but we will all have the opportunity to celebrate her life on Sunday DECEMBER 15th at the CIVIC Hall in Minden, NV. The celebration will begin at 1 p.m.
