JOHN TONY VERDUGO, age 59, passed away unexpectedly on December 16, 2013 at his

residence in Fallon.John was born February 28, 1954 in Pueblo, CO to Frank Verdugo and Evelyn Arguello. He had lived in Fallon since 1994, coming from Whidbey Island, WA. John served in the US Navy, retiring as a Senior Chief after 23 years, 7 months of service. He had recently worked as an apartment manager.John had 2 life motto’s that he lived by. “Tough times don’t last long, but tough people do.” and “No excuse for zero effort”. He is survived by his wife Barbara of Fallon; daughter, Carinsa Phelan (Scott) of Camarillo, CA; sons, John-Paul Verdugo of Fallon; Tristan A-J Verdugo of San Diego; Jesse L. Verdugo of Tonopah; daughter, Tricia A-M Verdugo of Fallon; his mother, Evelyn Jiminez of Pueblo, CO, his grandchildren, Sareynah, David, McKenna, Caylee, Kiara, Malakai, DeVaughn, Bridger, and Cobus;brothers, Ben (Jane) Verdugo; Dennis Verdugo; sister, Frances Verdugo; brothers, Joe Jiminez; Carmel (Cindy) Jiminez; Felix (Tina) Jiminez; and sister, Alice Jiminez.John was preceded in death by Stepfather, Carmel Jiminez, brother, Frank Verdugo, sisters, Cindy Verdugo and Genevieve Verdugo; brother Gregory Verdugo. A celebration of John’s life will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at 1:00 pm at Smith Family Funeral Home, 505 Rio Vista Drive in Fallon, with Pastor Don Reese officiating.
