Carson City health inspections for April 25

Following are the Carson City Health Department’s food-service inspections for April 25. All scores are on a 100-point scale, with points deducted depending on the severity of violations:

• Adele’s Bar/Lounge, 1112 N. Carson St., scored 100 points.

• Adele’s Restaurant, 1112 N. Carson St., scored 97 points. Found numerous wiping cloths lying about the food-preparation areas, corrected on site. Cloths did not have measurable residual chlorine sanitizer in them and some were touching ready-to-eat food, corrected on site. The container used to store the wiping cloths did not have sanitizer solution in it, corrected on site. A dirty ice scoop storage container was found at the main ice machine.

• Bodines Casino, main bar, 5650 S. Carson St., scored 92 points. The chlorine dishwasher behind the bar was not providing at least 50 parts per million of chlorine residual in the final rinse at the time of the inspection. The hand-wash sink behind the bar was not accessible for employees to wash hands during the time of the inspection.

• Bodines Casino, restaurant, 5650 S. Carson St., scored 97 points. Soap was not provided at the pizza-preparation area hand-wash sink.

• Bodines Casino, sports bar, 5650 S. Carson St., scored 97 points. Bar soda spray nozzles and the holster were dirty with sticky soda syrup residue. A copy of the pregnancy/alcohol consumption warning was not posted in the women’s restroom near the sports bar.

• Carson Horseshoe Club, Bar 1, 402 N. Carson St., scored 100 points.

• Carson Horseshoe Club, Bar 2, 402 N. Carson St., scored 100 points.

• Centro Market, bakery, 2794 E. Highway 50, scored 100 points.

• Centro Market, deli department, 2794 E. Highway 50, scored 100 points.

• Centro Market, grocery, 2794 E. Highway 50, scored 100 points.

• Centro Market, meat department, 2794 E. Highway 50, scored 100 points.

• Centro Market, produce department, 2794 E. Highway 50, scored 98 points. Lighting in the produce section was not properly shielded from contaminating fruit and vegetables in case a light bulb should shatter. Lids on bulk storage rice, beans and corn were not provided to prevent possible contamination from outside sources.

• Dickey’s Barbecue Pit, caterer, 3250 Retail Drive, Suite 100, scored 100 points.

• Dickey’s Barbecue Pit, restaurant, 3250 Retail Drive, Suite 100, scored 99 points. A grease receptacle was dirtied with grease and food debris. Waste container lids were being kept open.

• Domino’s Pizza, 3231 E. Highway 50, scored 100 points.

• Dotty’s, 3771 S. Carson St., scored 97 points. The person on shift could not provide proof of having a food-handler certification.

• Fairview Food Market, 1501 Fairview Drive, Suite 4, scored 100 points.

• Genghix, 1480 N. Carson St., scored 82 points. Soup was noted held at 119 degrees during the time of inspection. There was a large gap on the rear-entry door of the facility. Food stored in refrigerators and freezers was not dated or labeled. Food was noted stored directly on the floor of the walk-in freezer. The meat slicer and the toaster oven in the cooking area were dirty at the time of inspection. Hand towel dispensers were empty at two of the three employee hand wash sinks. The floors under the kitchen deep fryers were dirty with grease and food debris.

• Taco Bell, 3117 E. Highway 50, scored 100 points.
