The Carson Blue Jays, the summer baseball team of the Carson High Senators, started its season with a 11-6 to the Reno A’s on Wednesday.

Carson held a 6-4 lead heading into the seventh when Reno rallied for the win.

Leading Carson (0-1) was T.J. Thomsen driving in four runs on two hits. Dom Norton scored twice on his three-hit day. Chazz Nystrom collected two hits, and Chase Blueberg added two hits and an RBI.

Carson used eight pitchers, allowing 11 hits and walking six batters. Jace Zampirro took the loss in the seventh.

Carson hosted Damonte Ranch and Elko on Friday. Scores were unavailable. The Senators return to action at 12:30 p.m. today against Wooster. Carson hosts Douglas at 5 p.m. Sunday.
