Hospital named top performer

Sierra Surgery Hospital, in partnership with Carson Tahoe Health, has been named top performer on Key Quality Measures by The Joint Commission, an independent accreditor of health care organizations in America.

Sierra Surgery Hospital was recognized for its excellence in surgical care and exemplary performance using evidence-based clinical processes that are shown to improve care. To be recognized as a top performer, a hospital must meet or exceed 95 percent performance thresholds for its performance on all reported core accountability measures and performances reported to the Joint Commission. It is among the top 23 percent of hospitals in the country to earn this distinction.

Sierra Surgery Hospital was also recognized by Consumer Reports as the number one hospital for surgical care in Nevada and was awarded the HealthInsight 2013 Hospital Quality Award based on exceptional quality patient outcomes and high levels of patient satisfaction.
