Obituary: Barry Alan Fitzpatrick (Buzz)

September 29, 1958 - October 17, 2013

Buzz was born on September 29, 1958 to Rea Luce and Don Fitzpatrick of Fallon, Nevada.

After graduating from Churchill County High School in 1976 Buzz continued his education and graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering in 1988, from the University of Nevada Reno. After college Buzz embarked on a 26 year journey with Lumos and Associates in which he recently retired from in January 2012. Shortly after retiring, Buzz opened a new business called Fitzpatrick Water Rights. Buzz loved giving back to his community and volunteered for numerous organizations, namely:

Fallon Fire Department, while residing in Fallon, active member of the Boys and Girls Club of Northern Nevada, Rotary, Chamber of Commerce for Fallon and Carson City and was on the board for Nevada Water Resources Authority. Buzz was most proud of his four children, whom he devoted countless hours in coaching their sports activities as they grew up. Buzz enjoyed golfing with friends,

traveling, fishing, being with his children and grandchildren and enjoyed spending days at Lake Tahoe on his boat. Buzz is proceeding in death by: mother Rea Luce, step father Bob Luce and Father Don Fitzpatrick along with numerous aunts and uncles. Buzz is survived by: Brothers Mike Luce (Cathy), Tim Luce (Laura) and Sister Donna Fitzpatrick. Beloved children and their spouse Kyle (Sunni) Fitzpatrick, Amber (Chad) Edgmon, Shawn (Michelle) Fitzpatrick and Spencer Fitzpatrick. Treasured grandchildren: Cailou, Kalleen and Killian Fitzpatrick (Kyle), Cassie, Caleb and unborn Casen

Dearest friend and cousin Dani Bernal, as well as

numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and countless friends whom were blessed to know him.

Buzz touched the lives of many with his smile and

generosity while maintaining his trademark sense of humor through it all. Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service on Thursday, October 24, 2013 at 11:00am at Walton’s Chapel of the Valley & Cemetery, 1281 N Roop St. Carson City, NV. Potluck to follow; if you wish to join, please bring your favorite dish or dessert. The family requests that in lieu of flowers please make donations to: Boys and Girls Club of Northern Nevada or to local youth clubs of Fallon or Carson City. This will represent his love for coaching and helping children.
