January 19, 1941 - October 16, 2013


John T. Bibee loving husband, father and grandfather passed peacefully at his home in Carson City, Nevada on October 16, 2013.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Lynne, his mother, father and brothers. He is survived by sons Larry and Bryan; daughters-in-law Roberta and Cara;

grandchildren Zack, Ty, Whitney and Shea, all of whom live in the area.

John was born in Globe, Arizona; moved frequently as a child, and later graduated from Compton High School in Compton, California. He was an active member of

DeMolay and became a lifelong member of the Masons. He married the love of his life Lynne Klaiber on April 24, 1961. John and Lynne moved to Carson City in 1972 and became involved in the community through Kiwanis, Little League Baseball, church, and youth sports. It was through youth sports that John became involved with the Carson City Parks and Recreation, and later served as a board member. In 1984 John and Lynne founded Bibee &

Associates where John provided services as an

independent insurance agent.

Throughout his life, John enjoyed boating, camping,

fishing and supporting the University of Nevada Wolf Pack and the Reno Aces. Most importantly John loved

spending time with his family.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday October 27th, at Walton’s Chapel of the Valley, 1281 North Roop Street, Carson City, Nevada. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, donations be made in memory of John to: the Carson City Kiwanis Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 922, Carson City, NV 89702, or the Foundation for the

Betterment of Carson City Parks and Recreation, 3303 Butti Way, Bldg 9, Carson City 89701.
