May 18, 1989 - September 9, 2013

Brooks Christian Greenlee, 24, of Carson City, died Monday evening, September 9th in Reno.

Brooks was born May, 18, 1989 in Las Vegas to Wade and Renea Greenlee. He graduated from Carson High in 2007 and attended WNC in Carson and Lassen College in Susanville, CA.

Brooks was passionate about his family, friends, baseball, and music. He was honored with two invitations to the Kelley Baseball Classic All-Star game in Reno as a sophomore and junior in high school. He was an aspiring rapper who delighted in writing rhymes and performing his music for everyone. He was currently in production of music that he hoped would be released in the future.

Brooks worked at a variety of jobs, but was most proud of his work at an assisted living center in Carson City, where he entertained the residents with his dance, music, and stories.

His family and friends will always remember his gentle soul, infectious smile, and loving and caring personality.

Brooks’ ascent into God’s loving hands is being celebrated by his mom and dad, of Carson City; the love of his life, Shauna Romero and her children, Michael, Adrianna, and Dalyla, of Reno; grandparents, Harry and Elaine Lach, of Minneapolis, and Pat Graftaas, of Clearbrook, MN.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established at Greater Nevada Credit Union.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, September 19th, from 4 p. m. to 8 p. m. at Walton’s Chapel of the Valley in Carson City. Burial will be held on Friday, September 20th, at 11 a. m. at Walton’s Carson Gardens Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, at 5 p. m. at Cavalry Chapel in Carson City.
