If Trevor de Braga doesn’t receive a phone call from the NFL on May 10 or in the following week, he’ll be anything but disappointed.

After participating in two NFL combines since February, the 2008 Fallon grad is off to another combine this weekend, but has already been offered to play overseas. De Braga will compete in the EUROstopwatch scouting combine this weekend in Orlando, Fla., with only two weeks left before the NFL Draft in New York.

“It’s a ton of weight off my shoulders,” de Braga said. “It’s nice knowing that I have places to go and teams interested in me if the NFL doesn’t work out. I’d happily go to the European league and be able to explore that part of the world.”

De Braga will get one more chance to increase his stock with the Florida combine, which has been helping prospective players into professional football since 2012. EUROstopwatch has partnered with European and American football teams with 83 players signing professional contracts in the NFL, CFL, Europe and arena leagues.

Even if de Braga doesn’t hear from the NFL next month, he said that the Pribram Bobcats (Czech Republic) offered him an all-expenses paid contract and a salary of 600 Euros ($830.28) per month. He has been offered to play in the states, as well, and Australia and Finland for several semi-pro teams but they do not pay.

“Any professional league I can play, whether it’s arena, CFL or European is definitely just a stepping stone to getting to the NFL,” said de Braga, who’s been in contact with an agent for the major football leagues.
