West named to Dean’s List at Waynesburg University

Mariah C. West of Minden has been named to the Dean’s List at Waynesburg University in southwestern Pennsylvania for the spring term of 2014. Students must achieve a grade point average of at least 3.5. West is pursuing a bachelor’s in Criminal Justice Administration.

Carson High student receives DCI Scholarship

Isabella Favero, a 2014 graduate of Carson High school, is a winner of the DCI Scholarship Program sponsored by Dialysis Clinic, Inc. based in Nashville, Tenn. Dialysis Clinic, Inc. is a nonprofit organization with 72 clinics in 16 states. Favero participated in many school and community activities including, youth group, library volunteer, 4H Sewing Club, choir and golf. She’s now majoring in Nursing at Brigham Young University in Utah.

Carson grad achieves at UNR

Zachary Kind, of Carson City, a 2013 Carson High graduate, was named to the University of Nevada, Reno College of Science Dean’s List for the fall 2013 and spring 2014 semesters. Kind is majoring in biology and carries a 4.0 G.P.A.
