Eugene (Pat) Briggs

Eugene (Pat) Briggs, died Thursday, July 3rd, 2014 at Banner Hospital in Fallon, NV. Mr. Briggs was 88 years old. He leaves his wife of 63 years, Caroline Briggs, his daughter, Patricia Salveson, and his three grandchildren, Cara Salveson-Tracy, Eric Salveson, and Daniel Salveson. Although born and raised in Iowa, Pat was able to travel the world during his 30 years in the United States Air Force. While serving in WWII, he was shot down and survived 14 months as a German POW. Pat met his wife, Caroline Arasmith in Denver, CO, where they married in 1951 and as a military family, spent tours in Japan, Germany, and Okinawa. After retirement, Mr. Briggs enjoyed travelling in the U.S. with his wife, fishing, gardening, and visiting his grandchildren and family. His family will miss his wisdom, support, and wonderfully dry sense of humor. At his request, no service will be held.
