The Fallon Force 12-and-under softball team won the Capitol City Qualifier in Carson City on Sunday.

The Force took down the Susanville SWAT, 9-8, in the championship game. Battery mates Rylee Buckmaster (pitcher) and Lorryn Fagg (catcher) handled all three games on Sunday.

Fallon’s run began with a 10-0 win on Saturday over the Fernley Dynamite. The Force followed with a 22-1 win over the Winnemucca Gold Rush and tied the Gardnerville Hot Shots, 5-5.

Seeded second in Sunday’s tournament, Fallon handled Fernley, 7-0, and beat Gardnerville, 5-2.

“Our girls battled through three very tough games to come out on top,” said coach Karl Buckmaster.
