Carson City Health Department’s food-service inspections for Nov. 12. All scores are on a 100-point scale, with points deducted depending on the severity of violations:

Domino’s Pizza, 3231 E. Highway 50, scored 100 points.

Taco Bell, 3117 E. Highway 50, 100 points.

99 Cents Only, 2080 E. William St., 100 points.

Arco am/pm, 720 S. Carson St., 99 points. Liquid was leaking from behind the nozzles on the customer soda dispenser and inside a cabinet. There were wet towels, which could promote rust.

Donuts to Go, 1413 N. Carson St., 99 points. There was no thermometer inside the new reach-in unit.

Golden Dragon Restaurant, 3250 Retail Drive, Suite 150, 98 points. There was no drip pan available at the far left corner of the grease hood. Dish racks were stored on the floor in the dish washing room. Utensils for dispensing cooked rice were not stored properly.

Port of Subs, 1621 E. Highway 50, Suite B, 98 points. Interior areas of the main ice machine were dirty with biofilm buildup. The can opener’s blade was not clean.

Arco am/pm, 4190 S. Carson St., 97 points. The sandwich reach-in near the cash register had an ambient temperature of 53-54 degrees, while the built-in thermometer on the outside of the units read 35-36 degrees. There was missing covering in the rear storage and food preparation room.

Del Taco, 822 E. College Parkway, 97 points. There was no certified food handler on site.

Subway, 2073 E. Highway 50, Suite 1, 94 points. Hot-held foods were registering at around 128 degrees. The floor sink inside the cabinet under the soda dispenser was dirty with biofilm buildup. There was no certified food handler on site.

Pho Country, 2495 N. Carson St., 87 points. A cook touched his skin on two occasions without proceeding to wash his hands. A cook’s personal cell phone was on a shelf above the make-up unit. An uncovered staff cup was stored on the rice cooker preparation table. A bag of onions was stored on the floor near the rear kitchen door. Improper thawing practices were observed for a large amount of boxed frozen meals. One baffle was missing from the grease hood. The can opener blade was dirty. Boxes of single service items were stored on the floor in the outdoor storage shed. The perimeter of the floors and floor sinks in all rooms of the kitchen were dirty. The floor in the outdoor storage shed was not cleanable. Walls and ceiling in the kitchen, dish washing room and inside the walk-in were dirty with food splash or grease and dust buildup. The fan guards inside the walk-in were dirty. The outside of the equipment needed to be cleaned.
