1936 - 2014

It is with heavy heart that we announce the passing of our mother, Amy Hunter. She is predeceased by her husband, Max, her parents, Arthur and Lucille Daugherty, and her grandson, Tim Stephens. She is survived by her daughters, Glenda Sweeny, Connie Currier (Jack), Robbie Reeder (Fred), Donna Brown, Jenny McCurry (Rollin), and her best friend, Susan Morris. In addition, Amy has four grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Amy was born in Medford, Oregon, in 1936. While her life included several moves and occupations, she made Carson City her long term home. She had an extensive career as a Keno Writer, but retired from her favorite job as a Receptionist for Carson Overhead Door. (Thank you Scott and Todd!) Her hobby of making ceramics was one of her passions. She was also known for her love of helping others. A service will be held at Walton’s Chapel of the Valley, 1281 N. Roop St., in Carson City on Saturday, November 22 at 11:00 A.M. She leaves us rich in memories.
