Man wearing Elvis-wig in robbery sought

A reward is being offered for information leading to an armed man wearing an Elvis wig who allegedly robbed the Carson Country Market 8 p.m. Thursday.

Described as white, about 25 years old, 5-feet, 5 inches tall, and weighing 180 pounds, the man was last seen wearing black glasses and a dark hoodie.

The robber entered the store and stood near the alcohol cabinet before he was approached by the store clerk. He turned around with a gun in his hand and ordered her to the ground.

During the robbery a man entered the store and the robber pointed the gun at him and demanded money. When the man gave him a dollar, the robber punched him in the face and left the store.

Douglas County Sheriff’s Deputies, Nevada Highway Patrol troopers and Washoe Tribal officers swarmed the area, taking statements and searching for the man.

The man was not found on Thursday night.

A reward is being offered for information leading to his arrest and conviction.
