Carson Chamber Singers sets two concerts

The Carson Chamber Singers, directed by Michael Langham, will kick off its 30th season with a pair of concerts in Carson City and Reno.

The first concert will be at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 17 at Trinity Episcopal Church, 200 Island Ave. in Reno. The program will be repeated at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 18 at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 300 S. Division St. in Carson City.

The program includes “Sure on the Shining Night” by Morten Lauridsen; Dirait on from “Les Chansons des Roses” by Lauridsen; Regina Coeli, K. 108, by Mozart; Canite tuba by Palestrina; and the traditional American hymn tune “Hark, I Hear the Harps Eternal,” arranged by Alice Parker.

Tickets cost $10 for general admission; children 16 and younger are admitted free. Tickets are available at CCSymphony.com, Play Your Own Music in the Carson Mall or at the door. Carson City Symphony flex tickets are also accepted.
