The winner of Visit Carson City’s Beat the Heat photo contest was 4-year-old Everett Hogan with his photo at the waterfalls in Kings Canyon.
The contest was held through July and August on Facebook, and the winner was decided by whichever photo received the most “likes.”
Hogan’s prizes include a fully-hosted Nevada Day weekend experience in Carson City, dinner for two, free tickets to Nevada Day events, a place of honor on the Visit Carson City Nevada Day parade float, and regional and national recognition as the winning photographer.
