Sierra Surgery Hospital was integrated into the Carson Tahoe Health System, Carson Tahoe announced on Friday. Sierra Surgery was the first facility to open 10 years ago on the Carson Tahoe 80-acre master-planned medical campus. It is located next to the Regional Medical Center in North Carson City and has earned numerous industry accolades for patient care and satisfaction.

Previously known as Carson Ambulatory Surgery Center, Inc., a premiere outpatient surgery center in central Carson City, Sierra Surgery grew into a boutique style surgical hospital when it moved over to the medical campus in 2005.

“This is a very exciting time for Carson Tahoe Health and the future of healthcare in our nearby and rural communities,” said Ed Epperson, CEO of Carson Tahoe Health. “Though CTH has been the majority owner of Sierra Surgery for over 10 years, we now look forward to officially uniting them with the Carson Tahoe Health System.”

Carson Tahoe Health is committed to providing expert care, technology, and health experiences for patients throughout Northern Nevada.
