Western Nevada College is offering several fun non-credit courses this spring through its Community Education Division. Course details, fees and registration information are available at www.wnc.edu/ce. Click on Non-Credit Class Schedule.


Advanced Perspective Drawing

Meets Saturday, April 18 & 25, 1 p.m.-4 p.m. This class will advance to complex shapes involving people drawings, experiment with illustrating animals, light reflections, refractions and shadows. There is a pre-requisite for this class. Check online for the supply list. Fee: $46.


Automotive Care for Women (and men included)

Meets Fridays, April 24-May 15, 6 p.m.-9 p.m. The goals of this hands-on class are to empower the participants with the knowledge of how to check the oil, spark plugs, battery, belts, fuses, how to change a tire and so much more. Fee: $141 plus a $25 supply fee for some automotive goodies.


Beginning Jewelry Fabrication

Meets Tuesdays, 9 a.m.-12 p.m. and Wednesdays, 6 p.m.-9 p.m., April 21-May 6. Create your own style with basic jewelry making techniques by making your own necklaces, bracelets and earrings. Fee: $131 plus a $25 supply fee brought to the first class.


Beginning Perspective Drawing

Meets Saturday, April 11, 12-4 p.m. Class will cover the basic rules and techniques for creating realistic illustrations, horizon line, multiple vanishing points, and illustrator’s eye level. Check online for the supply list. Fee: $46.


Square Foot Gardening

Meets Saturdays, April 11-25, 9-11 a.m. Grow 100% of the crop in only 20% of the space of a conventional row garden. You will save time, water, work and money. There will be a field trip scheduled to make this a four session class. Cost: $51.
