Carson City Sheriff’s Office: Man arrested on suspicion of escape of a felony prisoner

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.

Carson City

THURSDAY

At 4:47 p.m., a Carson City woman was arrested on suspicion of petit larceny after deputies responded to a call at the Market Street Walmart of a woman taking produce from the store without paying. Bail was set at $250.


FRIDAY

At 12:17 a.m., a 20-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of driving with a suspended license, no insurance, and expired registration after deputies initiated a traffic stop at the 800 block of North Carson Street. Bail was set at $1,125.

At 3:00 p.m., a 40-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery-first offense. Bail was set at $2,500.

At 5:31 p.m., Duffy Thomas, 24, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance, grand larceny, escape of a felon prisoner and obstruction. Bail was set at $77,800. Thomas had also been arrested at 4:02 p.m., that same day on suspicion of a disturbing the peace warrant. Bail was set at $1,000.

At 5:31 p.m., Sarah Thomas, 29, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony escape-aiding a felon prisoner, escape-concealing a felon prisoner, and assisting in the escape of a felon prisoner. Bail was set at $55,000.

At 9:47 p.m., a 26-year-old Carson City woman was arrested on suspicion of obstructing an officer after deputies responded to a child custody dispute at the 3000 block of Desatoya Drive. Bail was set at $250.


SATURDAY

At 3:17 a.m., a 28-year-old Mound House man was arrested on suspicion of DUI-second offense, suspended driver’s license, suspended registration, and no proof of insurance after deputies initiated a traffic stop near Highway 50 East and Arrowhead Drive. Bail was set at $3,650.

At 3:32 a.m., a 23-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of DUI-first offense and maintain single lane after deputies initiated a traffic stop near Carson and Musser Streets. Bail was set at $1,050.

At 9:20 a.m., Markeisha Orviss, 24, of San Leandro, California, was arrested on suspicion of felony probation revocation and burglary. Bail was set at $50,000.

At 3:00 p.m., a 41-year-old Silver Springs man was arrested on suspicion of violation of District Attorney’s violations after deputies initiated a traffic stop at the 2000 block of Carson Street. Bail was set at $3,000.

At 4:38 p.m., a 61-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery-first offense. Bail was set at $3,000.

At 7:04 p.m., a 25-year-old Carson City woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI-second offense controlled substance, child endangerment, driving on suspended driver’s license and violation of alternative sentencing after deputies initiated a traffic stop near Fairway Drive and Desatoya Drive. Bail was set at $8,500.

At 7:53 p.m., a 32-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery-first offense. Bail was set at $3,000.

At 9:59 p.m., a 20-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of a warrant and use and possession of alcohol by a minor after deputies initiated a traffic stop near Corbett and Roop Streets. Bail was set at $650.

The Nevada Appeal only names people arrested on suspicion of felonies and violent crimes. Carson City Secret Witness will pay up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of individuals committing crimes. Anyone with information is asked to call 775-322-4900.
