Carson City golf course to help veterans with tournament

Honor Flight Nevada, a charity that transports veterans to Washington, D.C., to see war memorials, and Silver Oak Golf will hold their inaugural Kilroy Klassic fundraising golf tournament April 25 at Silver Oak Golf Center.

The format is four-person scramble, and a shotgun start will be at 8:30 a.m.

The event offers team trophies, a long drive and hole-in-one contest, raffle prizes, gifts and a silent auction. A continental breakfast before the tournament and a barbecue lunch following the tournament will be served.

The cost, which is tax deductible, is $125 per player. The cost for members of the military and veterans is $100 per player.
