A forum about the community benefits of recreational trails, hosted by Sierra Nevada Forums, is planned at 6 p.m. Aug. 13 in the Brewery Arts Center Performance Hall, 449 W. King St.
An introduction will be given by Mayor Bob Crowell; Anne Macquarie will moderate. Panelists include: Stan Bales, a planner with BLM; Mark Kimbrough of Washoe Zephyr Consulting; Jenny Scanland, recreational trails program manager with Nevada State Parks; Cheryl Surface, Washoe County park planner; and Garrett Villanueva, acting regional trail program manger with US Forest Service.
