Immigrants. On the morning of July 26, says the Reese River Reveille, 16 wagons, containing 100 men, women and children, arrived in town on their route to California. They left the Missouri River on the 8th of May, and are from the state of Illinois, Iowa. The party had excellent health and met with no trouble during their long journey.

Mark Twain says that ultimately the great West will claim the Capital and Washington will be abandoned. A letter from C.C. Powning, recommending Reno as the likeliest spot, went on yesterday’s mail.
