Horse Crazy Cowgirl Band to perform benefit for Carson High School culinary arts team

An evening of western music by Horse Crazy Cowgirl Band, plus dinner made by Carson High School culinary arts students, is in the cards Aug. 14 at the Governor’s Mansion, the site of the benefit concert for the CHS culinary arts team.

Horse Crazy Cowgirl Band is the winner of last year’s Best of the Best Harmony Award by Western Music Association. The trio consists of Lauralee Northcott, Jennifer Epps and Judy Coder.

The concert at 6 p.m., put on by Elks Lodge 2177, will be preceded by a social hour from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Hot dogs, Angus beef hamburgers, salad and dessert will be served at 5 p.m.

Tickets cost $30 for the concert and $7 for dinner.
