Shirley J. Knutson, 86, passed away July 15, 2015 in Carson City, NV surrounded by family. Shirley was born February 20, 1929 in Flagler, CO to Robert and Marion Nye. She moved to Carson City, NV 26 years ago from Ventura, CA. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Leo, and a daughter, Sherry Betts. She will be dearly missed by her son, Larry Knutson, granddaughters, Heather Brooks, Tory Mariskanish, Erica Steele and Mariah Brooks. Grandsons, Christopher McMahon and Cody Brooks. Also one sister, Elizabeth Nye. Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at 1:00pm at the First Presbyterian Church in Carson City. Burial will follow at Walton’s Carson Gardens cemetery.
