Dolores and Jack Edward Earle, 13-year residents of Indian Hills, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Thursday.

The Earles wed Dec. 10, 1955 at the Brick Presbyterian Church on Park Avenue in New York City. They found love on the ski slopes of Mont Tremblant, Quebec, where Jack worked as a ski instructor. In January 1955, Dolores, a New York model residing in Queens, New York, took the train from Manhattan to Canada. She was placed in Jack’s ski class. The pair says it was love at first sight; 12 months later, they were married.

Following their wedding, the Earles moved to Southern California to start their family. They have three children — Laurie, Jeff and David, all of Nevada; and three grandchildren — Jason, Jennifer and Randy.

Jack is a retired lithographer for the Los Angles Times. Dolores is a homemaker.
