Pete Aja died Jan. 18 after having a heart attack on Jan. 14. He was born in Gardnerville, Nev., and came to Fallon in his late teens. He was a cowboy, construction worker, and in his later years, he was manager of South Maine Mobile Park. He was preceded in death by his parents, Val and Teresa Aja; and his two brothers, Basilio Aja and Ben Aja; He is survived by his wife, Patti; stepdaughter, Jennifer; two step-grandsons; two brothers, Augie Aja (Robyn) of Redding, Calif., and Mel Aja (Jo Ann); and sister, Dee Dee Howell of Fallon. He leaves several nieces and nephews. There will be a Celebration of Life at the VFWPost 1002 on Saturday, Jan. 31, at 2 p.m. Bring a dish for potluck afterward.
