The Fallon Police Department is hosting a counterfeit class on Feb. 13 at the Old Post Office, 90 N. Maine St.

The class, which will be run by the U.S. Secret Service, is aimed for Fallon’s business community to assist in identifying counterfeit currency. The class will run from noon to 2 p.m., lunch will be served, but seating is limited.

Businesses are encouraged to send a representative to attend the course. To register, contact Beverly at the FPD administration number, 775-423-0167.

The class is in response to a recent string of counterfeit bills passed at numerous local businesses in January.

FPD arrested two men on Jan. 27, while the third was arrested by authorities in Reno on Wednesday.
