Nevada Sen. Dean Heller introduces geothermal permits bill

Sen. Dean Heller, R-Nev., has introduced legislation he said is going to streamline and simplify the review process for Geothermal exploration.

He said the current process is “grueling.”

“What’s worse is these companies are forced to go through the same process to simply test if a resource is viable,” he said.

Heller said the bill he introduced will simplify reviews for initial exploration activities and “give developers the tools they need to unleash Nevada’s abundant geothermal potential.”
