Carson City’s Luke Bowler was awarded a $500 Amazon gift card for selling more than $6,000 of Boy Scout Popcorn in support of the Northern Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America. Over 70 percent of the proceeds go to support the Boy Scouts of America here locally.

Making the presentation was Mike Langer, Council Area District director, left, and Jeff Felsted, Council Area Business manager, right, holding a certificate to allow Luke to go to youth leadership camp.

Luke and his brother Nick have been top popcorn sellers for the Northern Nevada Area Council seven of the last eight years.

Luke was No. 5 in the nation last year selling more than $17,000, and Luke holds the all-time record for Northern Nevada Area Council selling $18,432 worth of popcorn 4 years ago.
