The Millennium Bugs, a five-piece combo affiliated with the Mile High Jazz Band, will play traditional jazz in an Artown concert from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday inside St. James Infirmary in Reno.

The venue serves eclectic mixed drinks and beer inside and on the rooftop deck. Admission is free.

Band members are Dan Lancaster on saxes, clarinet, and flute; Gil Linsley on trumpet and flugelhorn; David Bugli on keyboard and trombone; George Worth on bass and trombone; and Hal Little on drums.

The performance is a lead-in for the Jazz and Beyond — Carson City Music Festival, to be held Aug. 7-23 at venues around the capital city. The annual festival, a homegrown event that began in 2004, features more than 100 performers in about 60 performances, and most are free to attend. The Carson City Chamber of Commerce recently presented the “Best Annual Event” award for 2015 to the Jazz & Beyond Music Festival. For a festival schedule, go to JazzCarsonCity.com.
