Early visitors to the Carson City Airport Open House on Saturday will be offered an opportunity to take a tethered ride in the RE/MAX hot air balloon.
Sponsored by RE/MAX Realty Affiliates, the seven-story tall red, white and blue RE/MAX hot air balloon will be front and center on the airport field, weather permitting, beginning at 6:30 a.m. and continuing until about 10:30 a.m. Donation of $5 per person will go to Children’s Miracle Network. Bring your camera for some photos of the balloon with your friends and family members riding in the basket.
“We are honored again to be at the Airport Open House to show support for the airport as well as raising funds for the Children’s Miracle Network, not to mention letting attendees experience their first balloon ride,” said Stephen Lincoln of RE/MAX Realty Affiliates, who also organizes the RE/MAX Nevada Day Balloon Launch from Carson Street prior to the Nevada Day Parade. It is the only mass ascension of hot air balloons in the county from the middle of downtown.
