Sierra Place, 1111 W. College Parkway, is presenting a series of free events, from concerts to support groups, in July.

Tony Ruggiero will perform “oldies and goodies” on the accordion at noon Saturday.

Geri Meyer, a former marriage and family therapist, will lead a bereavement support group — geared for local seniors grieving a personal loss, such as that of a pet, loved one or lifestyle — at 10 a.m. Saturday and July 18.

Mike Thomas will present the story of the Transcontinental Railroad at 10 a.m. July 15.

Sue Jesch of the Carson City Symphony and her students will present Strings of Summer, an outdoor recital, at 10:30 a.m. July 30.
