Women of Carson City Emblem Club #507 are hosting an opportunity to test detective skills and enjoy a New Orleans-style dinner at their performances of “Murder at Mardi Gras” on Saturday and Sunday at Elks Lodge, 515 N. Nevada St.
The first performance will be at 7:15 p.m. Saturday. Cocktails and dinner, a menu of jambalaya, green salad, French Quarter bread and cake, will be served at 6 p.m.
A matinee performance will be at 4:15 p.m. Cocktails will be served at 2 p.m., with dinner of pepper corn chowder, sausage, ham, shrimp, penne jambalaya, French bread and lemon cream cheesecake following at 3 p.m.
The audience is invited to wear costumes, masks and beads. Tickets are available in advance at Elk Lodge. Net proceeds go to local charities.
