Dec. 7, 1930 - March 16, 2015

Betty Anne Castillo passed away peacefully on Monday, March 16, 2015 following a long illness. She was born in Niagara Falls, NY and moved to Concord, CA where she met Edward M. Castillo, Sr, in high school and they married in July 1951. She worked at Bank of America from the time she graduated from high school in July 1947, until she retired in 1987. Once retired, they moved first to Grizzly Flats, CA and then to Dayton, Nevada in 1990. Betty loved all things gardening. She loved watching something grow from itsy, bitsy nothing to busy, blooming colors, scents - everything! She loved bacon & salami! She could divide 27 by 4 quick as a whip (6.75)! She loved watching the antics of the birds outside her window. She was also an avid classic movie lover - she could tell you the name of the movie by a single line of dialogue or a note of music! She really loved tho share this knowledge. She was definitely very fun and feisty to the end! She is preceded in death by her oldest daughter, Delores Marie Tuescher and survived by her husband of 64 years, Edward M. Castillo SR. of Dayton, Nevada, daughter Deborah Castillo of Santa Rosa, CA and son & daughter-in-law Edward M. Castillo Jr. & Kathy Castillo of Dayton, Nevada. She has 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. There was a private Celebration of Life for the family & close friends on Saturday, March 21st, 2015.
