Aug. 25, 1925 - Nov. 10, 2015

Mary E. Stadler, passed away peacefully in her sleep on November 10th. She was 90 years old. She was born in Topeka, Kansas to John and Catherine (Duman) Stadler on August 25th, 1925. She is survived by her sister Gina Matheny of Annandale Minnesota, her brother in law, William (Bill) Knoebber of Topeka, Kansas, 34 nieces and nephews and countless great’s. Mary was preceded in death by her parents and 9 siblings, Ceceila, John, Catherine (Sister Germaine), Susan, Jim, Paul, Barb, Sophie, Theresa, and one niece. Mary, (Sister Ann Joseph) entered a life of service to our lord, serving with the Congregation of our Lady of Victory Missionary Sisters. She professed her vows 8/15/1952, served missions in various locations in Nevada, Utah and California until her departure from the Congregation in 1979. Mary worked as teacher in the Catholic school system and after leaving missionary life went into the nursing field.

Mary was a member of St. Thomas Chapel in Carson City, NV. and, St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church in Dayton, NV. Aunt Mary will always be remembered for her love of life, her infectious smile and laugh. She is now with the Lord, in heaven laughing with her family and with her great friend Fr. William Avella. Mary has requested that instead of a funeral mass and burial, that we remember her by celebrating life each and every day. Offerings of mass intentions and rosaries can be made at a church of your personal choice. Donations could also be made in her name to her favorite charity: AEDV (advocates to end domestic violence) in Carson City, NV. The family would like to thank the team at Amy’s Eden Senior Care, and a special thank you and God Bless to John Walsh for his devotion and support in being Aunt Mary’s caregiver for the last several years. You were truly a blessing to her and us.
