Carson City investigators have arrested a man in connection with an armed robbery at the Harbor Freight Tools store.

Chase Henderson, 25, of Carson City was arrested Saturday afternoon near the 100 block of Riley Court on suspicion of robbery with a deadly weapon.

Henderson and a second man were suspected of going into the Harbor Freight Tools store Sept. 19 when the clerks were closing the store. Two men allegedly came in, held the clerks at gunpoint and took an undisclosed amount of money. The suspects also allegedly took one of the clerk’s vehicles, which was later recovered near Carson Meadows Drive and Como Street.

Initial reports stated that two suspects were described both wearing black masks. One was described as 5-feet, 5-inches with blue eyes and a tattoo across his neck. The other was described as tall with blond hair, blue eyes, wearing black jeans, having a beard, wearing a white T-shirt under a hoodie and carrying a semi-automatic handgun.

Investigators were led to Henderson from an anonymous tipster in conjunction with information the officers were collecting. Brian Humphrey, Carson City Lt., said officers served a search warrant Saturday afternoon and found evidence related to the case.

In addition to the robbery charges, Henderson was also arrested on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, felony sale of a controlled substance, felony possession of a controlled substance and ex-felon in possession of a firearm.

The second suspect is still at large and officials are continuing the investigation. For information on this incident, contact the Sheriff’s Office detectives division at 775-283-2500.
