The Carson River Coalition, in conjunction with the Carson Water Subconservancy District, will host a public coalition meeting Wednesday morning.

The meeting from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. will be in the Carson City Library Digitorium Room at 900 N. Roop St. The keynote speaker will be Daniel P. Beard, former commissioner with the Bureau of Reclamation and author of “Deadbeat Dams”. His talk is aimed at providing a unique perspective on water issues and policies facing western states.

People attending the session are encouraged to park either at the subconservancy district office lot, which is just south of 777 E. William St., or across Roop Street in the lot at the Community Center, 851 E. William St., both of which are within walking distance of the library. The coalition is a watershed-wide stakeholder group of the Carson River watershed.
