Carson City Community Center hosting ‘Alice in Wonderland, Jr.’ April 8-10

More than 100 local youth will be featured in Youth Theatre Carson City’s production of Disney’s “Alice in Wonderland, Jr.,” which plays April 8-10 in the Bob Boldrick Theatre of the Carson City Community Center.

The classic tale of Alice’s journey down the rabbit hole will feature Hailey Ponczoch and Abby Golik as Alice, a role also shared by Jinnie Ponczoch and Avery Swenson and McKenzie Henley-Ballard and Shania Sweikar. Also featured are Quentin Powers and Xander Borg as the Mad Hatter; Ethne Myler and Hayden Breiter as the White Rabbit; and Juliet Favero and Melanie Proctor as Caterpillar. The Cheshire Cat is played by Serena Dantzler, Stephanie Melsheimer, Clarissa Quintana, Isabella Basche, Delany Lauderbaugh, and Shannon Mick.

The production is dedicated to Ethan McKinney, who recently lost his battle with cancer at the age of 15. Proceeds from raffle sales at the production will go to start the Ethan McKinney Memorial Scholarship.

The show plays at 7 p.m. April 8 and 9 and 2 p.m. April 9 and 10. Tickets are $12 for general admission and $10 for students and seniors. For tickets, go to www.youththeatrecarsoncity.com.
