Carson City Sheriff’s Office: Man arrested on attempted burglary, possession of marijuana

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.

WEDNESDAY

At 7:41 a.m., Paul Bekakis, 32, a transient was arrested on suspicion of felony attempted burglary, trespassing and possession of marijuana greater than one ounce after deputies responded to reports of an unwanted subject near the 1707 block of Roop Street. Bail was set at $22,650.

At 11:09 a.m., a 39-year-old transient man was arrested on suspicion of solicitation from a driver and obstruction after deputies responded to reports of a man asking for money from motorists near S. Carson Street and Clearview Drive. Bail was set at $800.

At 6:56 p.m., a 37-year-old transient man was arrested on suspicion of wrongful possession of a shopping cart after deputies responded to reports of a man taking mail from business mailboxes near the 3600 block of Highway 50. Bail was set at $1,000.

At 11:16 p.m., Katelyn Ramsey, 26, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony burglary after deputies responded to reports of guns missing from the 100 block of Lotus Circle earlier Wednesday, Deputies located Ramsey near Clear Creek Drive. Bail was set at $20,000.

THURSDAY

At 12:12 a.m., Kari Daniels, 49, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of a dangerous drug, possession of a dangerous drug without a prescription warrant, probation violation, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to appear warrant after deputies initiated a consensual stop near the 1800 block of Russell Way. Bail was set at $4,000.

At 12:40 a.m., Joseph Mylrea, 30, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of two counts of felony possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana less than one ounce and possession of a dangerous drug without a prescription after deputies initiated a traffic stop near N. Carson Street and Hot Springs Road. $9,100.

The Nevada Appeal only names people arrested on suspicion of felonies and violent crimes. Carson City Secret Witness will pay up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of individuals committing crimes. Anyone with information is asked to call 775-322-4900.
